THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RESPECTABLE MISS (K Minnie) and SOFT TOUCH (M Mjoka) were stubborn loading. b) LORD NELSON (D Ashby) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) TRIP TO BARBERTON (M Yeni) and SOFT TOUCH (M Mjoka) made contact leaving the stalls. b) Leaving the 1100 DIRTY MARTINI (*KJ Lihaba) raced onto the heels of TRIP TO BARBERTON (M Yeni) and had to be steadied. c) Jockey D Ashby reported that LORD NELSON did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) WOODLAND RIDGE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
