THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROSA DOURADA (L Mxothwa) was stubborn loading. b) STATE OF MIND (R Khathi) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. c) JUST FOREVER (D Ashby) jumped inwards. d) MAIDEN'S COVE (KJ Lihaba), DUMISANI (D Schwarz) and MORE THAN A DREAM (R Danielson) jumped slow, losing one length. e) THE LADY LOVE (K Minnie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that ROSA DOURADA felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Jockey K Minnie reported that THE LADY LOVE did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey M Yeni (BEAU KALA) was dislodged in the pull-up area and was attended to on course by the paramedics. This precluded Jockey M Yeni from being able to weigh in. The Stewards, acting in terms of Rule 66.2, were satisfied that BEAU KALA had carried the correct weight and allowed the all-clear. d) UNITED EXPRESS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
