THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FIRECRACKER (S Veale) jumped outwards at the start. b) RIBBONS 'N FLAGS (R A Venniker) over-raced in the early stages, proving difficult to assist. c) Trainer W H Marwing signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate ELECTRA GREEN and GRECIAN PALACE against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. d) ELECTRA GREEN (W Marwing), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W H Marwing advised (NS).
