Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BIG FIVE (D R Lerena) stood losing many lengths.  The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. 
b)	CAPTAIN FREEDOM (Wes Marwing) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.


THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to BIG FIVE, this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable jumping on terms with a companion.  Suspension dates: 18 February 2022 to 24 February 2022.  BIG FIVE may not be presented for repassing during this period.  Stable Employee F Naude acting on behalf of Trainer J S Roux advised (GT).
b)	At approximately the 300m, CALIBRE CREST (J Mariba) had to steady momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of JP TWO THOUSAND (*K A Brewer) which hung in from the 400m. 
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that HOT SUMMER made an abnormal respiratory noise and did not stride out freely in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d)	ANOTHER THIEF (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Stable Employee J Crawford advised (DR).
