THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FLAMBOYANT FLYER (A Andrews) was restless in the stalls. b) LICKETY SPLIT (JP van der Merwe), WHISTLING DIXIE (IRE) (L Mxothwa) and FANNY KEMBLE (A Arries) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey R Danielson reported that SEE YOU IN A BIT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In view of the performance of ENGLISH MISTRESS (S Veale), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) FLAMBOYANT FLYER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
