THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	RIO'S WINTER (N Klink) was slow into stride.
b)	WARRIOR'S REST (C Habib) stumbled leaving the stalls. 
c)	RIVARINE (M Khan) stood losing many lengths.  The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	In view of the Starter's report with regard to RIVARINE, this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable jumping on terms with a companion.  Suspension dates: 18 February 2022 to 24 February 2022.  RIVARINE may not be presented for repassing during this period.  Stable Employee Mr Midiyane advised (GT).
b)	Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with CELESTIAL LOVE in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
c)	Jockey C Maujean reported that SINGFORAFA coughed post race.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
d)	Apprentice K A Brewer reported that WINTER SMOKE took no interest in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	Jockey N Klink reported that RIO'S WINTER did not stride out freely in running.  The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
f)	MR FLOOD (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (LN).
g)	In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SINGFORAFA, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended from racing for a period of sixty days in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.  Stable Employee F Naude advised (NHA).
