THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ESCAPOLOGIST (C F Dicken) over-raced in the early stages. b) Approaching the 200m FAIZAH (A Mgudlwa) which shifted out away from the crop, and ESCAPOLOGIST (C F Dicken), which rolled in, came together and brushed. c) Thereafter, at the 150m LILLYBELLE (R A Venniker) was carried in marginally by FAIZAH (A Mgudlwa) which was carried in by ESCAPOLOGIST (C F Dicken) which shifted in away from the crop and was straightened. d) Jockey A Mgudlwa reported that FAIZAH took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of FLIGHT MANEUVER (M Thackeray) (9.70 lengths, 5/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) ESCAPOLOGIST (C F Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
