THE STARTER REPORTED A) CAPE POINT was nervous in the stalls. B) LIONS TAIL was unruly at the start and was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) LIONS TAIL failed to muster speed and raced detached from the field from the 1000m, consequently Jockey X Ndlovu did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. B) The winner DRENGS FERRY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer Z Oosthuizen advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) APPLES AND THINGS raced equipped with alumites front, unshod behind and with a compression mask (08:43 - 18/02/2022).
