THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	CAPTAIN FONTANE (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing three lengths.
b)	UNDERWORLD (JP van der Merwe) jumped outwards
c)	MONEY HEIST (J Gates) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start INNAMORARE (M Yeni) was brushed on the hindquarters by CAFE CULTURE (A Andrews), which shifted out away from UNDERWORLD (JP van der Merwe), which had jumped outwards.
b)	POMODORO'S JET (K Matsunyane) was hanging out in the latter stages.
c)	Jockey B Fayd'Herbe reported that SILVER OPERATOR did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding CAPTAIN FONTANE (R Fourie), Trainer VH Marshall will be advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e)	Jockey J Gates was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline G on the use of the crop) in that he struck MONEY HEIST unnecessarily when it was out of contention for a place. Jockey J Gates signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000,00. 
f)	Jockey C Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 66.1 in that as the rider of AT MY COMMAND he failed, after pulling up this gelding, to proceed immediately to the weighing-in area and came into contact with individuals before presenting himself to be weighed in by the Clerk of the Scales. Jockey C Zackey signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1000,00. 
g)	Trainer Gareth van Zyl was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of MONEY HEIST. Assistant Trainer Gavin van Zyl, acting on behalf of Trainer Gareth van Zyl, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer Gareth van Zyl was fined R250,00.
h)	AT MY COMMAND, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised. (SC)
