THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FAIRY TRIPP (M Yeni) lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow to stride. Assistant Trainer J Buckler acting on behalf of Trainer G S Kotzen was advised to re-school. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start SPIRITED FLIGHT (D Daniels) was bumped in by ALITTLEBITNAUGHTY (J Gates) which jumped in. b) FAIRY TRIPP (M Yeni) over raced in the early and middle stages which resulted in this filly racing wide around the field. c) In view of the performance of SPIRITED FLIGHT (D Daniels), (7.40 lengths behind and 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) QUANABI (R Fourie), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
