THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	HEART STEALER (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	In view of the performance of DOWN BY THE RIVER (C Orffer), which pulled hard in the early stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 
b)	THUNDER MASALA (M Mjoka) pulled hard in the early stages.
c)	FIBONACCI (A Arries) was unable to secure clear running in the straight and had to be steadied and switched outwards approaching the 200m, when close to the heels of AUGUSTA BLUE (L Mxothwa). Thereafter, FIBONACCI (A Arries) was unable to secure clear running until leaving the 100m.
d)	KELP FOREST (G Wright) was continually held up between the 150m and the finish when close to the heels of MICHAEL FARADAY (R Danielson), which rolled out marginally.	
e)	MICHAEL FARADAY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (SC)
