Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOTCHA BUZZ (R Danielson) and WHAT NOW MY GAL (C Maujean) were stubborn loading. b) FIVE STAR MAGIC (R Khathi) was stubborn loading and jumped slow, losing four lengths. c) BIG SPENDER (W Marwing) jumped slow, losing four lengths. d) CARVED IN STONE (K Steyn) and FREE WORLD (Y Ramzan) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LINDA'S GIRL (M Mjoka) proved difficult proceeding to the start and had to be led by a Handler, causing a delay. This filly is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 until such time as she proves tractable proceeding to the start on a race day. b) Shortly after the start, FREE WORLD (Y Ramzan) had to be steadied away from the heels of SHINE IN MEMPHIS (M Yeni), which shifted in sharply leaving the stalls. c) BEST INTENTIONS (S Khumalo) was hanging in from the 400m. d) PRINCESS HANNAH (D Schwarz) raced green and shifted both ways away from the crop between the 300m and the finish. e) The saddle on BEST INTENTIONS (S Khumalo) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BIG SPENDER (W Marwing) and FIVE STAR MAGIC (R Khathi), the starting stall certificates of these fillies have been withdrawn and they are suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as they prove to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 03/02/2024 to 09/02/2024 inclusive). BIG SPENDER and FIVE STAR MAGIC may not be presented for re-passing during this period. g) LADY CAMPER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
