THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ELLA'S DELIGHT was restless in the stalls and dislodged apprentice KJ Lihaba, without incident. 
b) 	LADY MAJORCA (D Ashby) and SILVERY BLUE (M Yeni) stumbled leaving the stalls.
c)	ANGELSEA (D Schwarz) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start ELLA'S DELIGHT (*KJ Lihaba) took and awkward stride and then was brushed outwards by MEDITERANEANGODDES (W Marwing).
b)	The saddle on SILVERY BLUE (M Yeni) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward.
c)	Jockey W Marwing reported that MEDITERANEANGODDES was blowing post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
d)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on HILDELITA, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey L Mxothwa signed an admission of guilt and was fined R5 000.00. In determining penalty, the Stewards considered Jockey L Mxothwa's record with regard to contraventions of this rule and have further advised Jockey L Mxothwa that should he continue to be unable to weigh out at the carded weight or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, a riding weight restriction will be considered.
e)	TIPSY TINA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
