THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AGA BOMB (S Moodley) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) BACARDI BABE (*T Mayhew) and QUIET STRENGTH (*D B Geerthsen) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MAGICAL STONES (*S Sosibo) was unbalanced and had its hind quarters turned in when bumped by AGA BOMB (S Moodley), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) HALLOWED SECRET (C Habib) raced green. c) QUIET STRENGTH (*D B Geerthsen) hung in throughout. d) In view of the performance of SMASHING (M Yeni), (distance 6,50 lengths, betting 5/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) BLUP BLUP (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
