THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	STRAWBERRY STINGER (M Mjoka) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	MOYA WA LALIGA (A Mgudlwa), PLAZA ACCORD (K Steyn) and NIGHT TIGER (M Winnaar) jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	TENANGO (R Danielson) jumped with its head up and was slow into stride.
d)	BRIGHT GREEN (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing two lengths.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with DUMBLEDORE, which raced prominently in the early stages and tired quickly from the 200m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
b)	Jockey M Winnaar reported that NIGHT TIGER changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c)	Trainer C Bass-Robinson was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that she presented NIGHT TIGER incorrectly equipped in the parade ring. Assistant Trainer M Arnold, acting on behalf of Trainer C Bass-Robinson, signed an Admission of Guilt and Trainer C Bass-Robinson was fined R500.00.
d)	Trainers H Crawford/M Rix were charged with a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.1 in that they failed to notify the local office of the National Horseracing Authority within two (2) business days that STRAWBERRY STINGER had been gelded. Trainer M Rix signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R500,00. (2nd offense)
e)	TEFLON MAN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was advised. (WM)
