THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KNOCKOUT (G van Niekerk) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) LA DIVINA (C Zackey) (Betting 3/1) was examined at the start by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. The start of this race was delayed to allow the betting public time to restructure their bets. b) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that NIGHT VIGIL did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Trainer JMT Stewart was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of PORQUE TE VAS. Trainer JMT Stewart signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning. d) PORQUE TE VAS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JMT Stewart was advised.
