THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DOIN' TIME (S Moodley) was stubborn to load. b) TIPOURI (S Veale) and JET SPEED (D Daniels) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start TIPOURI (S Veale) was bumped out by TORIX NIGHT (C Habib) which jumped outwards. b) HELSINKI (*K J Lihaba) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) At approximately the 400m TIPOURI (S Veale) and FUTURE FLO (R A Venniker) came together and bumped. d) TORIX NIGHT (C Habib) was hanging in from the 250m. e) JET SPEED (D Daniels), as notified to the Stewards by Trainer M J Odendaal, was instructed to obtain a position with cover and towards the rear of the field. f) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that UNCLE LUCKY did not stride out freely in the running and as a result did not persevere with his ride from the 250m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) In view of the performance of HELSINKI (*K J Lihaba) (7.15 lengths, 4/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) PHUTULICIOUS (S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) TIPOURI raced equipped with blinkers (advised 11.02.2024/07h30). b) CHILLI CHACHA raced without a tongue tie (advised 11.02.2024/07h40).
