THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls, Apprentice S Hlengwa (SACRED LILY) briefly lost his right side stirrup iron. b) Leaving the 800m, PERFECTLY PICKED (S Veale) was encouraged around the field to take up a forward position entering the straight. c) Approaching the 300m CANFORD QUEEN (A Mgudlwa) was brushed out by I'M DEVINE (T Godden) which rolled out. Thereafter, approaching the 100m CANFORD QUEEN (A Mgudlwa) was switched to the inside of I'M DEVINE (T Godden) to obtain a clear run. d) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss in the running with I'M DEVINE. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) TRUE LOVE'S KISS (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
