THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ROY'S RUFFIAN (C Maujean) compounded and was not persevered with in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey R Fourie reported that ELECTRIC STORM took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) KING'S ISLAND (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S H Ferrie advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ROY'S RUFFIAN raced fitted with a tongue tie (advised 13.02.2024/08h54). b) Jockey C Maujean (ROY'S RUFFIAN) weighed out at 53kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
