Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OH MY GUCCI GIRL (D Schwarz) and TRUE DESIGN (C Habib) were stubborn loading. b) BLUE PALACE (X Ndlovu) jumped awkwardly, losing one length. c) GOLD QUEST (L Mxothwa) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, GOLD QUEST (L Mxothwa) rolled in and clipped the heels of MAGDALA (R Munger), losing momentum. b) Leaving the 400m, MILLION REASONS (*KJ Lihaba) was carried inwards and then had to be directed outwards when awkwardly placed on the inside of SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (R Fourie), which was hanging in. Shortly thereafter, BRETTY (M van Rensburg) was carried inwards marginally when SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (R Fourie) continued to shift inwards and proved difficult to straighten. c) Approaching the 200m, MAGICAL RIVER (C Zackey) was directed to the inside of GOLD QUEST (L Mxothwa) to continue its run. d) MAGDALA (R Munger) was hanging in in the latter stages. e) BLUE PALACE (X Ndlovu) and GOLD QUEST (L Mxothwa) raced green. f) In view of the report from the Starter regarding OH MY GUCCI GIRL (D Schwarz) and TRUE DESIGN (C Habib), Trainers WGC Miller and GD Smith respectively will be advised to have these fillies re-schooled prior to their next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. g) SPLICETHEMAINBRACE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
