a)	The tongue-tie on AFRICA'S ROCK (D Schwarz) was re-fitted at the start, causing a delay.
b)	AFRICA'S ROCK (D Schwarz) and JAQUAR CAT (K Steyn) were stubborn loading and slow into stride.
c)	GIVE US A SMILE (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing one length.
d)	PEDRO (R Danielson) and PISCES (J Gates) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start MEETATTHEWINDSOR (R Fourie) shifted out away from GLOBAL BANKER (C Maujean) and made contact with PISCES (J Gates).
b)	LAUNCH CODE (*KJ Lihaba) raced with its head up and proved difficult to settle in the early stages.
c)	MEETATTHEWINDSOR (R Fourie) raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight and, as a consequence, refused to settle. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
d)	AFRICA'S ROCK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J van Heerden was advised. (LM)
