THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PAS DE NOM (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing two lengths. b) BLACKBERRY MALT (L Mxothwa), GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe) and PROMETTERE (R Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MY BESTIE (M Mjoka) raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight. b) At the 500m NEVADA KING (C Bantam) and FUTURE TURN (G van Niekerk) made contact. c) PAS DE NOM (C Zackey) was continually held up for a clear run in the straight. d) GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe) was hanging out in the straight. e) Jockey R Fourie reported that PROMETTERE felt uncomfortable in its action. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) LINDBERGH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised.
