THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VOLTE FACE (J R Syster) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) RASTIGNAC (D De Gouveia) hung in in the concluding stages. b) Shortly before the finish line, KAROO GOLD (G Lerena), which hung in from the 300m, was steadied out away from the heels of ATARIME (P Mxoli), which shifted out marginally away from the crop. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that TEO TORRIATTE changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) ATARIME (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett was advised (MS). e) KAROO GOLD (G Lerena), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Dawson, acting on behalf of Trainer C Dawson, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) RASTIGNAC was ridden by Jockey D De Gouveia (declared 19 February 2024 at 08H56).
