THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At approximately the 1300m PRAGMATIST (R Fourie) which commenced to over-race, had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of IMPOSING (*B Plaatjies). b) The Board has adjourned to review the ride of Apprentice B Plaatjies on (IMPOSING) in this race. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that PRAGMATIST choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Assistant Trainer C Eudey acting on behalf of M D Miller will been requested to report back on the condition of PRAGMATIST on return to stables. d) MASTER FUEGO (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
