THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SAHARA DAWN (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) RISKY BUSINESS (M Yeni) stumbled shortly after the start. b) Leaving the 200m, SAHARA DAWN (G Lerena) was bumped by RISKY BUSINESS (M Yeni), which was directed outwards to avoid running onto the heels of SMELTING (*S Sosibo). Thereafter, in the concluding stages, RISKY BUSINESS (M Yeni) was steadied when awkwardly placed between HEIRLOOM (*T Mayhew) and SMELTING (*S Sosibo), which rolled out. c) Jockey D Schwarz reported that BOSSY BOOTS took a number of awkward strides shortly before the finish line. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) IN THE ETHER (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G J Maroun advised (MduP).
