THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	ZATARA MAGIC (C Zackey), FIGHT SONG (D Schwarz), SPIN DOCTOR (D Ashby) and GRAZINGINTHEGRASS (R Fourie) were slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, FIND ME UNAFRAID (Y Ramzan) lifted its left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be re-fitted.
b)	Shortly after the start, HOLD MY HAND (G Wright) shifted in away from CHERRY ANO (L Mxothwa) and made contact with GRAZINGINTHEGRASS (R Fourie) which, in turn, made contact with SPIN DOCTOR (D Ashby).
c)	BRENDEN JAMES (M Yeni) shifted out away from the crop at the 200m and was straightened approaching the 100m.
d)	In view of the performance of HOLD MY HAND (G Wright), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e)	In view of the performance of WILDEST DREAMS (X Ndlovu), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare.
f)	PEACE IN OUR WORLD, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer AC Smith, acting on behalf of Trainer GD Smith, was advised. (LM)
