THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN HOSTESS (A Andrews) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GOLDEN HOSTESS (A Andrews) proved difficult leaving the parade ring. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, it may be suspended. b) RIPPLE EFFECT (M Yeni) had difficulty securing clear running between the 350m and the 250m. c) Leaving the 100m GOLDEN HOSTESS (A Andrews) had to b steadied when awkwardly placed between ENEMY TERRITORY (IRE) (G Wright) and SHANTASTIC (C Zackey). d) OCTOBER MORN (A Domeyer) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with DISTANT WINTER. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the performance of SHANTASTIC (C Zackey), which over raced in the early stages and was not persevered with in the latter stages, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) DOUBLE GRAND SLAM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TJ) h) OCTOBER MORN, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
