THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BAUBLES AND BEADS (M Mjoka) was restless in the stalls.
b)	DOUBLE DREAM jumped slow, losing one length.
 
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race.
b)	Jockey C Orffer was dislodged in the pull-up area. In terms of Rule 66.2 the Stewards were satisfied that RANI OF JHANSI had carried the correct weight.
c)	Jockey D Ashby reported that he felt something amiss with GIRL LIKE US. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
d)	The Clerk of Scales reported that all riders returned to scale in excess of 0.5kgs of the weight at which they were declared out. The Stewards were satisfied that this was due to the prevailing weather conditions.
e)	PINEAPPLEMINTGREEN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AE Sands was advised. (TJ)
