THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOLO DIVA (*M K Katjedi) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, EMPRESS GAME (R Munger) was bumped in by SOLO DIVA (*M K Katjedi), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls b) Jockey S Khumalo, the rider of PRINCESS ILARIA, accidentally dropped his crop at the 250m. c) HEART PEAKS (K Matsunyane) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m. d) In the concluding stages, SOLO DIVA (*M K Katjedi) was carried out by LOLLAPALOOZA (D Schwarz), which shifted out away from the crop. e) Jockey R Munger reported that EMPRESS GAME made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) HILLARY STEP (*T Mayhew), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D N Stenger advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) HILLARY STEP: Apprentice T Mayhew weighed out at 54,6kg, only claiming 3,5kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance. b) PRINCESS AZARIAH: Jockey C Zackey weighed out at 54,7kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) WOMAN OF SUBSTANCE raced with a cornell collar (declared 21 November 2023) and without a compression mask (declared 21 February 2024 at 10H38).
