THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 450m, THERE SHE GOES (*N Nastili) was carried in by NETTLETON (G Lerena), which was directed inwards away from the heels of VIRGINIA BEACH (C Habib), which rolled in marginally. b) At approximately the 150m, VIRGINIA BEACH (C Habib) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between WHITE HILLS (S Khumalo) and NETTLETON (G Lerena), which shifted out away from the crop. c) The saddle on WORK OF TIME (K Matsunyane) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Stipendiary Board. d) In view of the performance of VIRGINIA BEACH (C Habib), (distance 7,70 lengths, betting 5/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LAW OF SUCCESS (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
