THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIGGLEDY PIGGLEDY (M Yeni) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ARABIAN RED (*M K Katjedi) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) RAINBOW RIVER (C Maujean), SUPERSKITT (C Habib) and LIBERTY FLAG (R Munger) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SILKY JET (P Strydom) proved reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a Handler. Trainer W H Marwing was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended. b) Shortly after the start, SILKY JET (P Strydom) was unbalanced and took an awkward stride when bumped by ARABIAN RED (*M K Katjedi), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) GOLD AGENT (P Mxoli) over-raced in the early and middle stages. d) In view of the performance of GOLD AGENT (P Mxoli), (distance 8,00 lengths, betting 18/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Jockey R Danielson reported that BEES AND HONEY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) HIGGLEDY PIGGLEDY (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Azzie advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
