THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MISS PLATINA (S Veale) and MADAME POMPADOUR (*K J Lihaba) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) MADAME POMPADOUR (*K J Lihaba) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. b) DEE DAY (J Jacobs) was hanging in from the 400m. c) At the 350m ACCUMULATE (R Fourie) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the heels of FLYING REIGN STORM (S Moodley) which was hanging in and carried in marginally by AN AIR OF PRIDE (C Zackey) which shifted in. Thereafter at the 300m FLYING REIGN STORM (S Moodley) was eased when awkwardly placed on the heels of AN AIR OF PRIDE (C Zackey) which continued to shift in. Jockey C Zackey signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of AN AIR OF PRIDE he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FLYING REIGN STORM (S Moodley) at approximately the 300m. Accordingly a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed (10.03.24-16.03.24) bdi. d) Jockey D Daniels reported that AMBER SKY choked up in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) MISS PLATINA (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Prinsloo advised (NS).
