THE STARTER REPORTED: a) IMPERIOUS DESTINY (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. b) MALCOLM'S DREAM (C F Dicken) and SHE CAN (M Thackeray) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start MALCOLM'S DREAM (C F Dicken) was squeezed out between EPIC VIEW (C Habib), which jumped out and IMPERIOUS DESTINY (A Mgudlwa) which jumped in, resulting in MALCOLM'S DREAM (C F Dicken) losing position. b) At the 200m, KAILENE (M Yeni) was carried in marginally by LUCKY MISS (*K J Lihaba) which was hanging in from the 250m. c) Jockeys C Maujean (STORMY CHOICE) and S Veale (TWINKLELITTLESTAR) reported their respective mounts did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performances of IMPERIOUS DESTINY (A Mgudlwa) (14.35 lengths, 6/1 in the betting), BITCOIN BABY (J Jacobs) (16.85 lengths, 14/1 in the betting) and AISLING (R Fourie) (13.35 lengths, 25/2 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) SOVEREIGN GRANT (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
