THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TOTHESTARSANDBACK (S Moodley) and EMERALD GREEN (R Fourie) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) FIRE PHOENIX (C F Dicken) stumbled leaving the starting stalls. b) Leaving the starting stalls WILLOW BROOK (J Jacobs) was brushed in by SWEET JULIA (A Mgudlwa), which jumped in. c) Jockey J Jacobs reported that WILLOW BROOK took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with HEAD GIRL in the concluding stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning FIRE PHOENIX, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority.
