THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DUKE OF RAIN (*K A Brewer), IDEAL WOLFF (M van Rensburg) and CHERINGOMA (*P Mxoli) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 400m, Jockey D Schwarz (APOLLO ROBBINS) adjusted his footing on his right-side stirrup iron. b) THE KOP (K Matsunyane) shifted in away from the crop from the 200m. c) In view of the performance of RUN AS ONE (W Kennedy), (distance 7,50 lengths, betting 9/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the performance of CHERINGOMA (*P Mxoli), (distance 9,25 lengths, betting 9/4), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) THE KOP (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer T Nako, acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry, advised (RS).
