Stipes Report
STARTER REPORTED: a) ZENOBIA'S GOLD (R Fourie) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) PLUM BLOSSOM (J Greyling) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, GREEN FAME (D De Gouveia) was buffeted between ZENOBIA'S GOLD (R Fourie), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, and PLUM BLOSSOM (J Greyling), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) Approaching the 300m, WHISTLEDOWN (*T Mayhew), which was directed outwards, shifted out abruptly and was corrected. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, WHISTLEDOWN (*T Mayhew), which rolled in, and VILLA SEMAYA (S Khumalo), which shifted out marginally away from the crop, came together and brushed. c) SUPERSKITT (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W C Marwing advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GREEN FAME was ridden by Jockey D De Gouveia (declared 14 March 2024 at 13H55) as Jockey G Lerena was stood down by the Course Medical Officer following an incident prior to Race 2. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) PLUM BLOSSOM new ownership: Mrs M Stapelberg & Mr J C W Visser, colours: Red and blue quartered, blue sleeves, red cuffs, red and blue quartered cap (Sold with engagement). b) WHISTLEDOWN raced equipped with steel shoes (declared 12 March 2024 at 09H31). c) KISS OF FIRE raced with a cornell collar (declared 7 December 2023) and without a tongue tie (declared 13 March 2024 at 11H38).
