THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KING'S SAILOR (M van Rensburg), COOL CAT (S Naidoo) and GLOBAL STATE (M Yeni) were stubborn loading. b) GOLDEN LINK (L Mxothwa) and MISTER SPEAKER (S Khathi) were nervous in the stalls. c) MY BEST SHOT (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length. d) VELVET VALOUR (*DB Geerthsen) was slow into stride. e) BRAD BROWN (D Schwarz) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBAL STATE (M Yeni) was hanging in throughout. b) GLOBAL CHIEF (D Ashby) raced green. c) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that GOLDEN LINK (L Mxothwa) made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
