THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HAPPY HOLLY (M Yeni), MAGDALA (C Habib) and YELLOW JACKET (S Khathi) were stubborn loading. b) MAGICAL RIVER (S Khumalo) and PRISCILLA MAISEY (L Mxothwa) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (R Fourie) was hanging in badly from the 400m. b) Jockey S Khathi reported that YELLOW JACKET coughed in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) SPLICETHEMAINBRACE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
