THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	Fair start.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	STEALINGTHETHUNDER (K Steyn) over raced in the early and middle stages.
b)	At the 400m BLIND FAITH (C Bantam) was steadied and thereafter switched in sharply to continue her run when awkwardly placed on the heels of HIGH DOLLAR TIPSY (D Daniels), which commenced to give ground suddenly and rolled out slightly. Thereafter, BLIND FAITH (C Bantam) had to be switched inwards into clear running off the heels of STEALINGTHETHUNDER (K Steyn) at the 250m.
 c)	THREE COINS (S Veale) commenced to hang outwards under pressure in the closing stages. Jockey S Veale appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol film and it was pointed out to him that although he was just clear of GUSTO GIRL (X Carstens), which was positioned to his outside in the closing stages, he needs to be more aware of where other horses are positioned before he shifts ground in races. 
d)	At the 200m WEHAVEASITUATION (O Noach) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of LA PEQUENITA (D Ashby) when carried in slightly by ROCKING PEONIE (R Fourie), which shifted in marginally.
e)	In view of the performances of JET GREEN (JP van der Merwe) and HIGH DOLLAR TIPSY (D Daniels), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these fillies.
f)	THREE COINS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (TJ)
