THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FROMHERETOETERNITY (W Kennedy) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) PRAIRIE FALCON (D De Gouveia), LEE EXPRESS (M van Rensburg) and SWEET AND SPICY (*P Mxoli) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 200m, MAGICAL FLIGHT (G Lerena) had to ease when awkwardly placed on heels of GOLDEN SPOON (K de Melo), which shifted out sharply and was straightened. b) SWEET AND SPICY (*P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Titise, acting on behalf of Trainer S T Pettigrew, advised (RS). c) Apprentice P Mxoli rode his 40th winner and will now claim a 1.5kg allowance, effective from 23 February 2022. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) MIDNIGHT GEM raced with a pressure halter (declared 16 February 2022 at 13H09). b) LEE EXPRESS raced with a pressure halter (declared 16 February 2022 at 13H19).
