THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SOUND OF HOUNDS (M van Rensburg) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	SACRED VALLEY (W Kennedy), LIGHT WARRIOR (*P Mxoli) and SILLY FELLA (D Schwarz) were slow 	into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) 	Shortly after the start, SACRED VALLEY (W Kennedy) and SILLY FELLA (D Schwarz) came together and bumped when awkwardly placed between SOUND OF HOUNDS (M van Rensburg), which jumped outwards, and SCOTTADITO (J Penny), which jumped inwards.	
b)	SCOTTADITO (J Penny) hung out from the 400m.	
c)	Jockey K Matsunyane reported that SO THEY SAY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
	The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 	
d) 	Jockey	C Habib reported that LITTLE RAIN made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
	The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. 	
e)	Jockey K Matsunyane was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the 	use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking SO THEY SAY more than twelve times in the 	entire race.  Jockey K Matsunyane signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R 1,500.00 was imposed. 
	When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used 	(17) and Jockey K Matsunyane's recent record with regards to this Rule and Guideline (1).  
f)	DEVILISH DANCER (S Brown), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
