Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VILA VICOSA (D Daniels) lost 2 lengths. b) NEW FRONTIER (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start CARE FORGOT (S Khumalo) was briefly tightened between MICKEY BLUE EYES (T Godden) which jumped out awkwardly and CATS PAJAMAS (C Habib) which jumped in leaving the starting stalls. b) FAMOUS WARRIOR (R A Venniker) was hanging out from the 400m. c) RAINWATER (J Jacobs) raced green, and this gelding took an awkward stride at approximately the 250m. In view of this report the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) CATS PAJAMAS (C Habib) raced green and shifted both ways from the crop from the 250m. e) Trainer F Robinson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate CATS PAJAMAS against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccination as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. f) SOHO STAR (N Patel), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Y Govender advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Nil. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
