THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (*T Mayhew) reared in the stalls. This filly was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was subsequently scratched. b) THE CROWN (K A Brewer) stumbled leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the loading process, DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (*T Mayhew) reared over in the stalls, dislodging Apprentice T Mayhew. DUCHESS OF SEVILLE was released from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently scratched. Apprentice T Mayhew was examined by course paramedics and declared fit to continue with his riding engagements. b) ILHA DA ORANGE (K Matsunyane) hung out from the 300m. c) ZENOBIA'S GOLD (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee S Mtwesi, acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry, was advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
