THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RED MOON RISING (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing two lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. b) TOKYO PRINCESS (S Veale) jumped awkwardly. c) EVENING PRIMROSE (O Noach) and QUEEN BOMI (M Mjoka) made contact leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GOLDEN CORN (L Mxothwa) and QUEEN BOMI (M Mjoka) over raced in the early stages. b) Jockey JP van der Merwe reported that RED MOON RISING felt uncomfortable in its action and he did not persevere with his riding in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey D Schwarz reported that ILHA DA MAURICIA did not stride out freely in the latter stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) ENCHANTING CHOICE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
