THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROCK OF BISMANTOVA (G Lerena) and JABBERWOCKY (*N Nastili) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) GLOBAL REEF (C Maujean) and HAT FURIOUS (*K J Lihaba) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JABBERWOCKY (*N Nastili) hung in from the 600m. b) In view of the performance of DUAL PROPHECY (P Strydom), which hung in from the 200m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) MASTER ARIANO (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A P Peter advised (MS). When questioned regarding the poor performance of MASTER ARIANO on 2 March 2024, Trainer A P Peter explained to the Board that MASTER ARIANO had not reacted well to his gelding in November 2023. He had subsequently been given time off to recover and benefited from the run on 2 March 2024. His attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to In and Out running. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) TOUCHED BY STARS was ridden by Jockey D Schwarz (declared 26 March 2024 at 11H02). Stipes permission with the mutual consent of all parties concerned. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) GLOBAL REEF is a gelding (Gelded 9 January 2024) Incorrectly carded. b) DUAL PROPHECY raced without a tongue tie (declared 26 March 2024 at 11H05). c) ROCK OF BISMANTOVA raced equipped with a compression mask and blinkers (declared 27 March 2024 at 09H12). d) JABBERWOCKY raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 28 March 2024 at 08H23). e) HAT FURIOUS raced equipped with a compression mask (declared 28 March 2024 at 08H26).
