THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1400m, CAN'T CATCH ME (C Habib) was carried out marginally by FLAG BEARER (D Schwarz), which commenced to over-race and was directed outwards away from the heels of CARNELO (J Gates). b) FLAG BEARER (D Schwarz), which hung in from the 400m, shifted in sharply at the 300m and was corrected. c) VIVA DE JANEIRO (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee T Mavuka, acting on behalf of Trainer F Bronkhorst, was advised (LK). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) THYMETOSHINE was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (declared 26 March 2024 at 11H02).
