THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUR LA LUNE (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start THE BIG SHORT (D Daniels) was carried out by TRIPPI T (C Habib) which jumped outwards. b) Jockey D Daniels reported that he felt something amiss in the running with THE BIG SHORT. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning THE BIG SHORT, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer P M Gadsby was advised (Suspension dates : 02.04.2024 - 31.05.2024 bdi). d) CHIEFTAIN (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
