THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VATHOMVLAFFIE (M V'Rensburg) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) CUE THE REBEL (M Thackeray) lost 1 length. c) WITCHWOOD (R Fourie) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Approaching the 150m NETTLETON (G Lerena) was switched to the outside of MAQUETTE (*K J Lihaba) which was hanging in and shifted in between the 250m and the 150m, to obtain a clear run. b) Shortly before the finish VISION TO ACHIEVE (M Yeni) was carried in by KENNEDY (S Moodley) which shifted in marginally. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss in the running with WITCHWOOD and that this filly was coughing. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) KENNEDY (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel advised (HM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) CUE THE REBEL raced equipped with cheek pieces (advised 30.03.2024/08h50).
