THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) PRINCESS OF BAYEUX (O Noach) raced with its head up and refused to settle in the early and middle stages. b) At the 300m, ENGLISH MISTRESS (A Domeyer) shifted in away from the crop and thereafter was directed inwards and into clear running approaching the 150m. c) Approaching the 100m, SANSA START (R Fourie) shifted out and had to be straightened. d) Jockey C Bantam reported that GOLD JET did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LICKETY SPLIT, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer C Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
