THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MEDITERANEANGODDES (D Schwarz) was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) REGINA BELLISSIMA (C Maujean) and JACKSON MISISSIPPI (K Steyn) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 150m, MR BODACIOUS (M Yeni) was brushed out by GREAT TIMES (*DB Geerthsen), which shifted out away from the crop. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that the saddle on MR BODACIOUS slipped back in running. This was confirmed on the video footage. Thereafter, Jockey M Yeni reported that this gelding changed stride continually in running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine MR BODACIOUS. c) FERRANDO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised.
